💡 Explanation of Permission Application:

• All permissions follow the principle of minimum necessity, and you may revoke the authorization in the system settings at any time.

• Location permission is only used for scanning Bluetooth devices on systems of Android 12 and below (mandatory system requirement), and your actual location will not be collected or uploaded.

• File permission is only triggered when you actively click "Select File", with the system file picker adopted, so the App cannot access other files.

🔹 2.2 Information We Do Not Collect

To protect your privacy, NotePal explicitly does not collect the following information:

❌ Contacts, SMS and call logs

❌ Permanent device identifiers such as IMEI, IMSI and SIM serial numbers

❌ Your precise geographic location (Location permission is only used for Bluetooth scanning on Android 12 and below, and data is processed locally without being uploaded)

❌ Camera frame content (unless you actively take photos/videos and save them)

❌ Microphone recording content (This App only adjusts audio settings and does not perform recording)

❌ Personal identification information (e.g., name, ID card number, bank card number, etc.)

3. Data Usage and Sharing

3.1 Purpose of Data Usage

We only use your information in the following necessary scenarios:

🔧 Provide core functions such as Bluetooth device scanning, connection, data transmission and OTA upgrade

📡 Detect network status to optimize transmission strategies (e.g., automatically download firmware under WiFi)

🐛 Collect anonymous crash logs (excluding personal information) for bug fixing

🔔 Send you important notifications directly related to the service (e.g., disconnection, transmission completion)

3.2 Principles of Data Sharing

We do not share personally identifiable information with third parties, except in the following cases:

⚖️ Legal requirements: Respond to legitimate requests from judicial authorities, or protect the safety of users/the public
